Partnering with Operation RSF
Changing lives with your passion for physical activity.

Let’s start off with the most common question we get, “How much does it cost to partner?” It is free, 100% FREE! We believe in our mission, but we also know that we cannot reach out to everyone in need without partners who are committed to the mission and passionate about helping people.
Although becoming a partner is free, some requirements must be met before applying and some steps to the process.
What are the requirements?
Requirement 1
If you own a gym or do any coaching, you must be certified (e.g., CPT, CSCS, TSAC-F, CF-LVL1, etc.).
Requirement 2
If you are a physical activity club (e.g., cycling, running, hiking, rucking, etc.), you must be an organized and named club that meets REGULARLY and has methods for offering accountability, motivation & encouragement, and community for individuals looking to use physical activity to combat their symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress.
Requirement 3
If you are an independent coach, you must have a location where you coach regularly. Using your house address will be fine to sign up but we use a map (see above) to help people find you and don’t want people just going to your house.

Need Some Help?
If you are doing an out reach to your community and you are in need a presentation, video, or a one page printable handout, let us know and we will do the research and get it back to you.
What are the steps to partnering?
Step 1
Fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Filling out the form shows your interest and willingness to partner.
Step 2
Alternatively, you can DOWNLOAD THE PACKET HERE. Once you complete it and send it in, you will be contacted by a member of ORSF for your interview.
Step 3
Step 4
To become a CERTIFIED PARTNER, one of the coaches at your gym or organizers in your club will need to attend the Operation RSF Certified Coach (ORSF-CC) Course and pass the exam. You can visit the EVENTS page to find out when the next classes are. If you don’t see one near your location, you can discuss hosting an ORSF-CC during your phone interview.
What are the expectations for the partnering gym?
You’re the action arm of Operation RSF in your local community. Operation RSF will provide you with training, a curriculum for your staff, support to answer questions, a monthly newsletter covering the latest research, and promotional tools to help you spread the word about your commitment to Operation RSF and spread the word about your upcoming events.
All that Operation RSF requires of you is to continue your passion for coaching and be willing and accepting of individuals coming to you in search of support as they start their journey.
Partnering gyms, coaches, and clubs are expected to fulfill the following:
Accountability
Make sure they show up to train. Individuals diagnosed with PTSD are more likely to be sedentary than the general population, and building new routines around physical activity can be difficult. Let them know you look forward to seeing them and getting to know them.
Encouragement & Motivation
Community
Combating the Stigma
One of the biggest missions of Operation RSF is to combat the stigma of mental health. The number of individuals seeking help pales in comparison to the ones who are not seeking help for fear of being judged, ridiculed, or outcasts from their community or jobs. Being labeled as having a mental health problem is a scary thought for many people and it hinders their willingness to reach out. Sharing research and information about mental health and the physical changes in the body and brain is a great way to combat the stigma. If someone is willing to seek a doctor for a heart problem, why not seek help for a brain problem? We look to our partners to reach out to their local communities to help combat this stigma to open doors and hearts for people to reach out.
Host 1 event a year to raise awareness for Operation RSF
This doesn’t have to be a huge event. It can be an open house day for your local community to come to do a workout where you share the benefits of physical activity for physical and mental health and your commitment to the mission of Operation RSF to use physical activity to combat post-traumatic stress. Events can be in-house, outreach, online, or a mix of methods. Reach out to us and let us know what ideas you have, or if you need ideas, we would be more than glad to help plan!
The first time I heard about the concept of Operation RSF I knew we would be involved. Being a retired US Army medic I’ve spent plenty of time reading and reaserching ways to heal the damage combat can do. I’ve long been a believer in the positive physical AND mental effects of exercise. I feel like this program has the potential to have a major impact on so many people’s lives and I truly hope we can find a way to help spread the message.
